Censorship abounds. Tech giants like Facebook and Google are notorious for trying to control content distribution on their platforms (and their parent companies own other platforms such as Instagram and YouTube, respectively).

And how often do you hear someone say “google it”? While they might mean it as a generic way to search the internet, that phrase is a reflection of the influence the tech company has. Many people default to Google (& its video platform YouTube). I think the pre-installation of its services/apps (see the Viva Frei/Chris Pavlovski video linked below for more on that) has to do with that.
But you don’t have to default to Google! There are alternatives!
I have not necessarily thoroughly researched or tested each of these out, but I hope the links below will help as a starting point. Then I hope you’ll do further research, & I’d love to hear what you find (or have found) in your research!
Google search engine alternatives:
FreeSpoke (I recently saw a Truth social post about this from Kash Patel)
Google’s YouTube is popularly used to look up things as well. Here are a few alternative video platforms.
YouTube alternatives:
(I believe you can search and view videos on both these platforms without accounts.)
More information on tech censorship:
This is a pretty long (but interesting) video of Viva Frei interviewing Chris Pavlovski of Rumble. The monopolistic aspect of Google/YouTube is interesting & eye-opening.
Google recently produced odd predictive search engine results for the Trump assassination attempt, as well as some other sketchy results. This video from JP Sears does a good job addressing it (if you want to skip to the Google focus, fast forward to about 6:20).
What are your thoughts on the internet censorship going on? What are your favorite big tech alternatives? (If you’d like a whole post focusing on big tech alternatives, let me know!)
