I saw this National Enquirer magazine the other day at Publix with a cover attached to the front of the rack. From what I noticed, this was the only magazine/publication in the checkout lane with a cover like this.
Two interesting things to note:
The cover story (that’s semi-hidden)
I’m pretty sure there was another gossip magazine with Trump and Melania…which wasn’t covered.
I emailed Publix Tuesday evening to see if they had a public comment, but haven’t heard back.
I’ll plan to update this post if I hear back.
Interesting, isn’t it?
Agree.
I read that managers in some Publix stores have been covering up some of their magazines if a customer complains. It happened in Florida with some sexy women's magazines, like Cosmopolitan. It also happened in South Carolina where a word was removed from a cake celebrating someone's graduation summa cum laude. They could be doing the same thing for political articles that a customer finds offensive. Sure looks like more censorship. Unreal.
