The first public post I published on this substack was titled “Jan. 6 - it’s become personal.” This is a situation heavy on my heart. I hope the more you learn about it, the more you will care about it too.
For the Jan. 6 defendants in prison, conditions can include minimal sunlight, worms, roaches, rats, flies, black mold, and stabbings (see Robert Morss’s description of the notorious Northern Neck Regional Jail in his sentencing speech). The conditions in the DC facility (dubbed the “gulag”) were so horrible that many of the J6 inmates requested to be moved to Guantanamo Bay. The DC facility still holds Jan. 6 defendants.
It does seem there are some agitators and/or suspicious actors incarcerated for J6; but it seems a lot of the defendants are being politically persecuted. Also, are the conditions described above acceptable for people who have earned jail/prison sentences, let alone people awaiting trial for an exorbitant amount of time? How does that encourage reform?
This post includes some resources to help you learn more about this tragedy. Please keep these men and women in your prayers, and consider encouraging them through letters.
As with many posts on the fisch substack, this post might be updated from time to time, so come back and check it out again!

Thank you for all you do, sweetie. Can you tell me how long it takes to get a response back from the J6er in jail ? I have David Mehaffie. God bless and share all your links
