Walgreens & their pride section

they’ve forgot got one too

Walgreens has joined the pride display group. This video alerted me to it…then I went and checked it out. It was last week, I believe the same day I visited Kohl’s.

While the display I saw there was rather anemic compared to the display I saw at Kohl’s (or especially compared to the one I saw at Target), and not everything in that section seemed to indeed be pride, it was still there.

Some obviously pride items, some potentially covert pride items, and some items that might not even belong there.

Again, any commitment they might have to “human rights” is brought into question when they have items made in the CCP.

Disney’s in on the pride pushing here too.

These seem to be dubbed the “rainbow collection.” It’s not obvious whether or not this is LGBT(etc.) pride, but given Disney’s other items, it’s quite possible. There were also non-rainbow stuffed Disney characters in the section.

The Squishmallows were not labeled as pride, but they were in the little pride area. I briefly searched the Squishmallows website for pride items and didn’t find any. Hopefully these aren’t actually “pride” items.

Do you think you’ll avoid shopping at Walgreens at least for the month of June due to this? And do you have any Walgreens alternatives?
