I think DeSantis has done a fantastic job as Florida's governor and would have gladly supported him on a Trump-DeSantis ticket for 2024 and possibly as president for 2028. I don't know if he has any sinister intentions; mostly (though I don't care for his position on the J6 prisoners), Trump has a proven track record and he doesn't. Trump may truly have his reasons for his "mean tweets" about DeSantis - disloyalty surely being one - but I don't think the polarization helps. If Trump does become the 2024 Republican candidate (which seems pretty likely), I'm afraid that DeSantis supporters won't vote for him out of spite. And if DeSantis should somehow become the 2024 Republican candidate, or run for president in 2028 (which seems more likely - if we're still having free elections then), Trump supporters won't vote for him and we'll end up with another Biden, or worse. Trump also recently slammed Kayleigh McEnany, who was an outstanding press secretary to him. He's still "my guy", but I wouldn't want to burn bridges with people who might be useful to his administration. Beyond that, some of his "mean tweets" have been hilarious and refreshingly candid.
Thank you for your thoughtful comments on this post!
I was very happy with Governor DeSantis as governor, but after looking into it more, I’m not sure how much was talk. And now that he’s running for president (even before the official launch), it feels like he doesn’t even care about Floridians…we still have hurricane Ian damage. Hopefully this post will serve as an encouragement to readers to set out on more research and come to their own conclusions.
Steve Bannon says that we don’t have time for on the job training, which I think is an excellent point about the 2024 election. It fits with your observation about Trump’s proven track record.
I’ve heard about the Kayleigh McEnany thing, and she did seem like a great press secretary! That would be worth further research.
I don’t particularly like the divisions, but it does seem like often when Trump slams someone, he knows something we don’t. And working in politics, it would be very, very hard to stay uncorrupted. I think a lot goes on in the DC swamp that we don’t know, and Trump has faced a lot of betrayal.
I completely meant my reply with good intentions. It's a great topic to discuss. I do agree with you on all levels. The issue will be something important to keep an eye on, as with everything else going on as well. There's so much infiltration, sabotage, counter-sabotage, corruption, bias... discernment is a gift. :D
Awesome post! As of right now, I am 100% Trump 2024 and would have loved to see DeSantis 2028/2032. DeSantis handled the pandemic, illegal immigration, wokeness, cancel culture, Disney, and crime incredibly well. There was no 'pass' given by any media for any of it - until there became a visible way for the leftists/globalists to cause another rift among the conservatives. The thing I think is important to remember is that there are many 'players' who'd like to see America fall. Anyone, any party, or any corporation that does not stand up for the love of this country is against our freedoms... that includes enemies foreign and domestic. It's possible that DeSantis has been influenced by those 'players', and it's worth watching, but so far I have nothing but respect for him. There are some huge developments happening in the world that WE THE PEOPLE will need to be united on moving forward for sure. :)
Thank you for your thoughtful and respectful comment!
It’s tricky…you’re right that we do need to be united. We also should be cautious of yellow flags, but we also don’t want to fall for media-fueled divides either.
Hopefully my concerns end up not amounting to anything, and/or encourage others to do their own further research on it.
I am so happy that you could add to this conversation so respectfully. Thank you! 🇺🇸
In total agreement ! Trump 2024 for me and always will be. Also , Adam Laxalt who if it was not for Trump would've never gotten anywhere here in Nevada turned on Trump and started a pac for Desantis ?! He has not even announced . I don't have a good feeling about this at all...as I always do, I do my own research and Desantis was pretty darn close to Bush during his term. Which I am no fan of and do not trust him either. I pray to God people wake up and vote back in the best President this country has seen in a very very long time. God bless and God bless the J6er's
Thank you too :) Thank you for all you do with our precious J6ers and fighting to bring justice for them all. Trump will take care of it . God bless you

I love that you haven’t let Trump’s tough words dictate your opinion of his policies. I recently published a post querying “Is Donald Trump Too Mean?” - https://fisch.substack.com/p/is-donald-trump-too-mean
Phew! That was a long comment! Thank you for reading. 😀
And THANK YOU for your support of the J6ers!

The good intentions came through! And they mean a lot. ❤️
